'93 SC400
Bad MAF.(I believe sensor-only P/N is 22204-42011)
After more than an hour of frustrating searches on internet I can only fine one place that has it and that is an outrageous $380, and that is just for the sensor.

My usual places (Rock-Auto, Advance, Auto-Zone, O'Reilly, etc) all are showing no-stock, out-of-stock, no known restock dates, etc. Every other site I clicked on also showed out of stock. I tried searching the respective parts from Beck Arnley, Cardone, Airtex, Toyota and Carquest with similar results. What's the story on this puppy? Why doesn't anybody seem to stock it?

Any sources out there at a realistic cost??

 

just unplug it till you can find another one, itll actually drive around just fine.
most of the time you just have to find a used one and hope its working better than yours.
change the air filter often.

 

Mine stalls instantly if the MAF is unplugged. People have reported what Ali said, but my experience has been just the opposite whenever I forget to reconnect it.

Used ones usually run $25-30, so you aren't out much if you get another lemon.

 

only works on certain years, maybe the 94 doesn't like it
