Default handle door rod

i was trying to fix the passenger door handle, apparently the plastic clip that connects the handle to the rod came lose. while fixing this problem the rod broke, i guess the rod got bent so many times that it gave out. i tried searching this forum for the rod, but i didnt find any info. can i buy just the rod ? is it expensive, and is the job hard to do ? I also thought about just putting door poppers(actuators that automatically open the door when the remote alarm is pressed) is this a good solution ? what do you guys suggest?
thanks

do you have a picture of the broken rod ? ... the thing is the bottom fork part that is kinda like a loop is only used to push down on the mechanism so it will still work just as long as there is enough of the forked portion to catch and not slide off ...if you know what I mean matter of a fact it will be much easier to get back on with the bottom of the loop off and to answer your question that part comes as part of the entire assy which cost almost 400.00

mother f'er i broke mine too. only on mine the metal piece that connected to the door handle was broken. it wasnt but maybe 3-4 inches long but the dealer didnt sell that one piece. they said if i wanted that piece than i would have to buy the whole thing for almost 300 so i got my machanic to weld it. its fine as long as i dont pull to hard i guess.
