Me personally I'd look for another shell. It would require a lot of time and money to get this back to its original condition. Hell, I'm going to have a 92 OEM 5 speed shell I might be interested in selling in a few months? You could buy it and swap all your good parts over to it? Sure it wouldn't be 1 of 120, but it would still be a good platform to build off?

it would be a cold day in hell when i ever spend the money to fix something that messed up. Take out the 5spd and put it in your DWP and call it a day man.
Glad youre okay from the crash as well, looked pretty bad.

That's actually a good question.. You didn't mention if it was claimed as salvage or inspected for frame damage.. Because if it's clean, you COULD still fix it! You'd be using a donor car but after hearing a bit more about the car.. I think I personally understand your reasons for wanting to restore it now. If it's salvage though..
Yes, only 120 manual SC300s were produced in 1997... And this was one of them

Dude,
I would definitely have it inspected. There's a small chance it can be rebuilt with minimal structural issues.......but don't hold your breath. I'd be worried about the engine block or cylinder head being cracked. The aluminum sub-frame can simply be exchanged with a used one if it's damaged.
- good luck

Did the airbags not go off?
As most of the others have said, it would take a lot to fix this one, but not out of the question. I don't see the potential frame damage the others mention, but then again you just don't know. Fenders, hood, front bumper cover, radiator support, radiator, fans, condenser, headlights, timing chain cover, etc, (the list goes on and on) are going to set you back a lot even from a good donor car.
I bought a perfectly good 93 manual for $1,000 (other than 2nd gear is out) with the intent to use it as a parts car for my 92 race car but it was so good I am having it painted and will use as a dd. Point is, you can probably do better buying another car and swapping parts around.
Edit: If you decide to unload the car, let me know. I see you are in GA so I am not that far from you, may be able to work a deal.

When did the accident happen or how long has it been sitting ? With no hood and broken cam covers , rusts looks like is already at work on the engine bay .
Looks like the whole front cross member above the bumper had been pushed against the engine . I figure everything in that area including engine parts like water pump , ps pump are damaged too. Any water that sips into that engine will basically make it useless. And with the OP saying that "the crank seems bent upwards" ... then engine is more likely gone.
