Default Can't stop tinkering...

Had the car running well with the MAF on the inlet side of the turbo. But it was messy even with the 4 runner distributor.

Put the MAF in Blow through and got it running alright. slightly leaner than i want 15-16 cruising.

Drove it to Denver (where i am now) Leaving the car at Import Performance Tuning over christmas break. I'll be in florida visiting family and hopfully i'll come back to a dyno sheet and a perfect car.

or not... the guys says its pointless to tune with my 330cc injectors and he thinks my wideband is off because 330's would cap out at 240hp according to his calculator....

it pulls hard in first and second afr at 11 no lean.. so i don't really understand here.

i hear rx7 550 cc injectors are high impedence and can plug and play?

I was hoping to avoid injectors because once i do those i could have just gone with the Japanese ecu.

Good choice man. I'm interested to see how running the MAF on higher boost will turn out. I wouldn't get my hopes up on a good tune but they can probably get it drive able.

I'm very Optimistic because I was able to fix the problem of the maf freaking out at boost by clamping its freqency output and adjusting fuel via the MAP sensor in the FIC.

Since i was doing a pull to 70 then id pull over and change some values and do it again with some success i think they will be able to figure it out on the dyno

I didn't tune the o2's but just dumped more fuel... obviously not the correct way tuning. adjusting the o2's makes the ecu want a lower than 14.7 AF ratio and it adjusts itself. to stay at 12 for example under boost. instead of me just opening the injectors for longer based on the wideband afr i see.

I bought a 1993 5 speed sc300. Everything is going onto that car now. I'll have a build thread for it soon. This one is going back to stock. I never got it running great. I got it running alright. pulled hard. turbo works transmission held 12 pounds for a few months.
Would i go with the fic 8 again- no tuning the maf was a pain in the *** i never got done right. With a dyno it may have been easier. I was able to return the fic 8 and boomslang harness. i will be going full AEM EMS in the manual, this was not an option with the automatic transmission. =)
