Smile Need New Radiator

Lost my radiator while waiting at the border crossing in TJ today comming back from Puerto Nuevo. The tank is seperating in the center. Was able to limp home (about 80 miles) with loosing the cap, and keeping it filled with water. Made a mees, but never overheated. Too bad, as the core is clean as a whistle, but i don't want to cjhance putting a new tank to core gasget. Rather go new.

Looking for a new radiator core for a 93 SC400. Anyone know where I can get one ASAP?

I live in So. Cal.

Thanks!!!

I found mine at Performance Radiator, think they're a large chain. It cost around $200,is all metal.
Had to hack off the stand-off that the shroud mounts to in order for it to fit,but I like it.

Thanks Lex!

Sounds like another good source. I think I will stick with the all metal product as I have always had problems with those gasket sealed tanks... in every car I have owned. Sooner or latter, the gasket swells or becomes distorted and causes leaks. Happened in my Caddy, my Porsche and now the Lex.

Another good sorce however!

Thanks,

Talking Got it!

Just got my new all metal readiator today from Performance shipped out of Reno.

I must say that the staff at Performance (Crystal) was very helpful in ensuring that my radiator got to me in ONE DAY!!!

The construction is top-notch, and there is a lifetime warranty with it. For less than $200.00, it is in my opinion, as great buy.

Thank you very much SCV8 for the info! You are a life saver (and money saver as well).

Default Follow up

Just wanted to let the forum know I installed my new all-metal radiator last night. I put about 90 miles on it today without any indication of problems.

It was a plug and play operation, absolutely no modifications required. Now if I can rid myself of that plastic crap tank on my Porsche, I will be a happy camper! Problem is, the all metal tanks for 928's are wayyy pricey. The stock BEHR suffers from the same eventual death as the Lex tank.

I would definetly say the new radiator is better than stock. Very happy so far... AND it has a lifetime waranty!!!

Thanks again for the tip!!!
