Thanks, but it really is easy! Anybody with some time and patience can do it The hardest part is baking the expensive tailights!

Default TRIED IT

I tried doing it but i cant take apart the inner lenses from the outer lenses. In the instructions it says there is a little screw that you have to unscrew to take it apart, but i cant find it. please email me at smelkony@aol.com or call me at 818-317-6707

Could I use one of the resistors to slow my blinking on my 92 with 95 tail lights? What ohm should I use? I have been looking for a solution to this for a while. It is something like this or rip apart a 92 turn signal flasher module and try and adapt a 95 turn signal flasher module to fit in it.

Thanks

Jeff, any suggestions on HOW to clear them out? They look like the plastic is dyed red/orange.

Hey Robb,

I wish I could give you an answer, but I really don't know about '92's. The reason I needed the resistor was because the resistance of the LED's I put in was much less then the stock bulbs, hence adding the resistance cured the problem of the fast flashing. Since I don't know what's causing your fast flashing, I really don't know what to tell you. You could certainly try the resistors. They're relatively cheap and I can't see that it would hurt anything. Worst case would be you'd have a couple of resistors that didn't do what you wanted

The resistors I used were massive 50 watt, 6 ohm jobs. I think these are overkill since the turn lights are only on intermittantly. You could buy some cheaper 6 ohm, 5 watt resistors from Radio shack to try and see if they slowed your blink rate. Just wire them across the rear turn signals. Make sure you check to see how hot they get. If they get too hot, you'll need the heavier resistors.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Thank Walter. I think I will give it a try. The trun signal flasher module swap would be really time conuming plue I would have to figure out the wireing myself. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Hey Walter,

I finally got the 95-96 taillights on my 92.

Question for you regarding the resistor install to slow down the blinkers. Did you install 1 resistor per taillight or just one resistor total? Also where did you wire the resistor into? Did you wire it into the single pair wire going to the turn signal bulb socket?

I am assuming I will need to splice one of the single wires going to the turn signal bulb socket and install the resistor.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
LexusBiz
