Just curious to see if I need to source a trunk lid with the spoiler or just the spoiler?

Yes you will have to cover up holes that will be left visible from the pre 97 spoiler.

I would say yes it is better to source a 97 trunk with spoiler because you won't have to worry about installing the spoiler and getting the alignment correct.

What are you bolting the spoiler up to?non spoiler trunk or spoiler trunk? you can always drill the holes which will be easier in a non spoiler trunk just measure correctly you should be able to tell by fitting the spoiler... If you are fitting to a pre 97 trunk that had a spoiler the bolt holes will show, which means more body work so I would avoid that. If you have a non spoiler trunk I say go for it, if not try to source a 97+ trunk lid or a non spoiler trunk and drill the holes, then use a sealant from the bottom to keep water out

I have a 94 that I just bought for a nice project car but I need to paint her and I like the pre 97 look but with the 97 and up spoiler.
