Last I heard was Area 51 was doing some restructuring. Probably means the SC400 supercharger is a no go. I think our best bet is the Australian company that has a production kit on the way this year. There is already a prototype on a car and working so that is the most encouraging thing I've heard so far. They talk about it quite a bit on the Soarer site. My fingers are crossed.

BTW, I don't think anyone has a definate answer regarding the TRD supercharger.

yeah area51 told me it was not put off indefinitely. what I don't understand is why they would go throught all the trouble of R&D and 3 prototypes and not take orders.... I understand if they were still working on it and decided to scrap it. It was a proven kit and they had all the schematics and ready for production. I don't konw but for now it looks scrapped.

Vegas
saw your new SC congrats.
I think you are talking about the Forced Air Tech kit right? they had something going last year and it was due out last december but they pushed it out to this year so I'm not sure about them either. I know they have a marine kit

Blitz has twin supercharger ktis for the SC430 and LS430 but the prices were TBA so I don't know what that means. but it doesn't look like it will fit the SC400's.

Rod millen has a supercharger kit for the GS. I'm thinking if the vortech supercharger mount fits on the SC we can very easily put together a kit for the SC. Any thoughts on this?

I think the most prominent outlook is now to see if the 4.7L TRD supercharger can be made to fit the SC and if the rod millen GS vortech supercharger mount fits the SC then the rest will be easy.

Luthor if you are reading this I've already contacted NYC performance factory to see if the 4.7L TRD supercharger kit can be made to fit the SC.

Thanks. I just picked it up about 3 weeks ago. God I love these cars. Everytime I looked at getting a different car I kept coming back to the SC.
Yeah. I was talking about the kit from FAT. Last I heard was a January release date. Haven't seen any update on the release date yet.

Area 51 is gone... I mean, physically, GONE!

I've been speaking to the TRD guys about the 4.7L Supercharger. It will definitely require a new hood, and the electronics will need to be reworked. The electronic re-work is a big enough hassle to make me consider a custom one-off twin turbo kit (thank god I work "in the business!").

My current thinking is to use two T28 BallBearing Garrett units w/ an intercooler and a split-second fuel controller. I'm not looking for HUGE power, just a streetable 400 hp or so... need to keep up with the boss' M5!

Default Dang it!

That was my last bastion of hope....Area 51. They were local, reputable(at the time) and full of promise w/the stages of superchargers they were offering. You mean they aren't even THERE anymore?

Australia is a stretch...and the only options is turbo. If I had an Sc300 I would've already done that
Oh well..
