Ok i got 452 miles to a full tanks of gas!!!
what the hell is going on....when i first got my car i was getting maybe 347 to 350 before my orange light did came on...not my light wont come on till im at 420 miles...this has only happened on my last two fillups...where i got 408 milesat fillup and today i got 452 at fillup....this is gonna sound weird but the car seem to be getting more efficent as i drive it...i was driving 90+ for a good 200 miles.... i raced a vette to 120 for about 2 miles playing tag, i followed a GPX for 70 miles going between 90 and 100...and i follwed this tinted saturn with a radar for at least another 75 miles weaving in between cars and at a point we were going maybe 110.. and then brake to 75 then hit 95 then back to 70...ohhh and i smoked a monte carlo that was on my tail in the left lane cause i set my cruise at 85....well and i had a car full of stuff cause we went skiing up a Boyne Mountain..(2 people)...so if anyone has any idea what is going on..can you please tell me...oh and my car right now is at a half tank and has about 210 miles since the fill up...p.s. i used ultra 94 Sunoco 1.99 a gallon...but i refilled with 92 octane cause they dont have the good stuff up there...when i filled up i got about 19.7 gallons of gas in the tank..so there was a little left...oh i have a sc 400 with about 101,500 miles on it...as of today..i have posted things about mileage before but now things are getting carried away im getting sc 300 mileage! oh and before any one asks i have not dont a single thing to the car since i got in in october with 87,000 miles on it...except change the oil..get it detailed..and change the tranny fluid and diff fluid, oh and get a new air filter!....ok i think that should cover it....

Damm, I'm with Sc400. I usually get around 250mpg. I have the SC300 in MT. Mileage should be better. I hit 280 last month, but that's unusual.
450 mpg is hot.

Damn that is crazy you sure you put no type of addictives in the car. No octane or injector cleaner. I have a 93 SC400 with 205K and i get between 350-410 and only get to 410 if i run it totaly dry, i mean dry like it is about to cut off

As long as you’re on the freeway and keep your speeds up you should get some where around 400+. Well every time I go up to San Francisco I get 400+, and I usually cruise around 80-110mph. But I can't dream of getting any were near that in the city, in the LA 250 to 300mpg if I'm really lucky.

I think the most I've gotten out of a single tank is 410 miles, and that was driving straight to LA.

im still shocked...i have added no additives..once i did the STP "complete fuel system" cleaner...but that was it..i have 16" wheels still..i hit atleast 90 everyday to work...and at night i might do 100 for about 10 secs..just to feel good...and i ilet my car warm up every morning for 3 to 5 minutes...i think yesterday bone dry i could have got 480 miles...but thats just an estimation on the 20.6 gallon tank..so i could have gone another 30 miles on the freeway...

I started a thread about bad fuel efficiency a while ago and since then have a seen an increase in miles per gallon. I did switch brands of gasoline, but that's it. I was using Arco and switched to Shell.

I just got 350 miles,took 15.8gal to top it off;makes for 22 mpg.
That was with some thrashing too,can imagine with no cold starts that I could get around 400+.
The ignition really could use replacing way before the little book says to,that helped out alot.

How in the hell?
450 miles to the tank!? Are you serious!
I put in 15.5 and 15.7 and I am consistantly getting 250 which works out to 16mpg for a 94 sc300. I am feeling very jealous and ripped off seeing these high miles. My car seems to run fine with no major mods. Drive like a 33 yo would. Slow and fast on occasions. What is the deal?
