Going to pick up my first sc tonight, lady told me the trans died on her and R and D are backwards ?! she says that when she puts the car in R it drives forward and vise versa

has anyone ever experienced this before ? the car is going to be swapped for a 5 speed anyway but just looking for more information on the matter

 

Been reading all day still found nothing

 

First I've heard of it. You could pull the shifter bezel out and see if something funky is going on with the linkage below. These trannys are real cheap to replace, at any rate.

 

Ya I'm gonna take a peak at it. If something easy to fix I'll fix it to get the car rolling but I'm doing the 5 speed swap. Using a Ka Nissan trans set up
