What's everyone doing for dead hood struts for our cars? Anyone try that thing that the LS400 guy did?

If you search on Hood Struts, or Shocks, or whatever it was I searched for, there is an LS400 guy who bought some specific struts, and then retrofitted them to his car.

Mine are toast, so my hood no longer stays up.
