New Differential Bushings: Polyurethane Vs Solid
so i recently picked up a supra auto tt LSD unit for my sc400, and am planning on swapping it in in the near future. while the diff is out, im planning on replacing thee differential bushings seeing as they are very worn out. these are the only options im finding:
SuperPro makes polyurethane bushings for the differential ears and the subframe mounts found here: http://shopfigs.com/v1/SC%20SC300%20SC400%20SOARER
Battle Version makes solid aluminum bushings for the diff ears and the subframe mounts found here: http://www.driftmotion.com/category-s/1866.htm
both of these sets would be around the same price of $300. im wondering what people prefer. i assume the solid bushings would yield a rougher ride, but is it really that much worse than the poly bushings?
are there any other options i haven't found yet? thanks for any help!

The biggest complaint I hear from people who go solid is that they transfer all the diff noise into the cabin.
I have yet to hear the noise for myself, but I definitely want to go for a ride in a SC with solids before I consider doing it to mine

I think solid is always the easiest way to go however depending on what you want out of your car you may or may not like the NVH cabin noise increase.
My exhaust is super quiet in my car, I would probably notice every little change in noise with solid mounts however if you are running a free flowing 4" exhaust that is loud I doubt you would even notice!

What noise would the solid bushings bring? Like clunking or would you just hear the differential gears? My exhaust is fairly loud, far from stock. Would the solid bushings provide much of a performance gain over the poly bushings? It seems like the solid bushings might be easier to install
It will sound like the dif has no oil. I had solid mount before and at first I thought it was leaking but after checking oil level a few times I realized it was the mounts. Jus a bunch of drone really
