Default taillights not working

just got pulled over to find out my tail lights are completely off. The licence plate bulbs, brake lights, hazards ,turn signals all work but the tail lights won't come on. I just recently replaced all the bulbs and I checked all the fuses. The lamp failure light was on for a little the other day whenever I hit my brakes the light would come on and the dash would dim when I didn't have the lights turned on. But now the lamp failure light is off and my dash doesn't dim and the brake lights all come on, just the tail lights don't work. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have a short or a lacerated wire. The taillight harness goes underneath the back seat but then again it could be anywhere.

I had the same issue and it has to do with the Lamp Failure Sensor located in the back panel on the drivers side. Easy simple fix and save you lots of time and money. Hope it helps it worked for me!
