OK, another W58 into SC400 question
ok, I've got it down pat for the most part, sc300 pedal assembly, blah blah, sc300 manual driveshaft, yadee--ya, adapter kit from 1uzfeswapkit.com
now, my question is, I have a W58 out of an MK3. Was told the shifter doesn't work so I'll need one from an sc300 w58. Is that true? do i need to do any cutting or jerry rigging? I've seen so many different types of kits for this swap. I've seen some people have nightmares and some people saying it's super easy.
More info on my car, 95 c400. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I was able to convert a JZ W58 to work in an MK2 Supra. I had to change the linkage and also grind a little bit of the internal shift connections.
Given that, you may be able to convert an MK3 to JZ, just do the reverse.

You can use the sc300 95-97 (tripod style) or mkiv (tripod as well) w58 external shifter assembly on your w58. as these are usually difficult to get a hold of because most people don't want to seperate them from the tranny, people who do not wish to wait/search for this piece go along the method of extending the shifter assembly as seen done often on the r154
