Default Checking ECU Capacitors

How do I open the ECU to check for bad capacitors, it seems like the cover is bonded.

One side has screws, the other side is soldered, presumably to avoid damaging the board from opening up the wrong side forcefully. If yours is bonded on the other side, someone must have modified it... Maybe to seal it up from water in the footwell? Talk about compounding issues, if so.

I know this is an old thread, but just adding comments to help in case anyone runs into the same issue. As I was checking my ECU, both sides of mine (1995 SC300) were both screwed on and glued from the factory. Took a little bit of elbow grease to pry them off (and bent the very soft aluminum).. Didn't try it, but maybe a heat gun around the edges might be soften the glue.

I used a hair dryer to loosen the glue on mine.
