I am just curious where do the beeps came from. My 97 SC400 made 2 beeps when I turn off the engine and opened the door.

It's telling you "Good bye" in audible binary

 

factory or possible aftermarket alarm? Where is the beeps originate from, inside or outside the car?

It has factory alarm. The beeps came from inside.

 

If you leave the sunroof open or windows down, does it beep the same way?

I read something about it thinking the key was still in the ignition, but those threads said it kept beeping, not two beeps.
