Yeh man glad you decided to walk. I paid 6k for my 97 original 5speed. Im not saying thats the norm, but like everyone says, be patient and you will find a good car, when you find something else, post it up and we would be glad to help you. If its a clean car do not be afraid to pay some money and get what you want. do not look for a bargain or a good deal if you want a clean car.

Good luck!

Good that you passed and took the above advice. If you have a $6K fund then hold out for a 97 or newer platform. One will come along soon enough and depending on your goal for the car you will need to invest more in any case....(we all do....).

Good luck on your hunt....

All,
I am interested in the SC400 which a member here for sale.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...l-records.html

To keep things private, would you please PM me what do I need to check on the car? I know it is high for the KBB price but I rather spend more for a clean/quality car. I offered to get the car without seeing or test drive it. I trusted members here. I am local with him. Hopefully, the deal go through today.

This will be a gift my son/or mine. I am currently driving a lifted 4gen 4runner. Moving to a car would be a nice change if my son want to drive my 4runner. He will get his license in 6 months. I promised him that I'll give him my 4runner since he was 9 yrs old. Kids grow fast.

I'd say that's a very fair price considering the condition and tedious upkeep.. Very good car in your future it seems!

Maybe they never properly fixed the power steering pump?

That leads to issues with the alternator leaking.
