SC430 rear 2-Pots?
Asking about SC430 rear calipers being an cheaper alternative to the TT Supra rear upgrade.
Would this bolt up? (similar mounting style)
Would this be an upgrade alternative?
Anyone tried this? Thanks

The high profile of that caliper might be an issue. I think the best bet would be to have someone measure the mounting pattern to see if they will bolt up, then get a measurement from center disk to the front face of the caliper to see how it will fit your wheels.
The mounting points looks similar. the brake itself is much larger but who knows until you try if it will work.
was the 2 pot from the IS a bolt on thing? will have to look it up *edit* looked it up needs a bracket. also the IS300 caliper and the SC430 caliper look almost the same online.

I answered my own question with further research. Seems a fellow member put Supra brakes on his SC430 with the help of a bracket no longer made by Night Pager.
If the rear of the SC430 needs a bracket to adapt to supra tt 2-pots then logic follows the original SC430 2-pots would not bolt to a supra or SC300/400.
I wonder what the advantage would be going from a 2-pot to another 2-pot caliper.
The below link (post # 15) has the picture of the simple bracket Night Pager made in the past.

Maybe someone can reverse engineer these brackets so we can buy sc430 calipers and rotors off the shelf.
The mount holes on the SC430 calipers are actually closer together than the sc400/300 spindles
Supra tt rear pistons are 40mm and sc430 is 35. Now I no longer wonder about the advantage.
Edit: looks like the IS300 is same design as SC430 but with 40mm pistons.
