How many volts is require to override boost/fuel cut?
I used the supra instillation guide and voltage reference set at 4.3v but I'm still hitting boost cut. Any thoughts?
Try setting it under 4.3 volts, there's a sweet spot right before that will hold voltage prior to boost cut but it also depends on your elevation on when the ecu see's 1 bar or 14.5 psi. Are you using a greddy bcc or HKS FCD? From what I've read alot of user have had issues running the FCD for some reason but the greddy if you can get ahold of one works. Theres a vendor that makes replica's of their design as well. A couple of the guys on here have made their own bcc with success.
4.2 is a good spot, however sometimes there's still a small spike and you still hit fuelcut - 4.1 is decent, and as low as 3.9 is "ok" but I suggest ensuring you have an AFM gauge to ensure you aren't running lean - but I almost doubt you will see any issue(s) at all with fueling up to 18psi - you will still be 10.0:1 - 10.5:1
but it also affects the computer's Timing advance and retard based on MAP sensor voltage - so start somewhere and keep pulling the voltage back until you don't receive fuel cut.
Thanks for the reply guys, I'll try to tune it down and see what number works better for me. HIPSI, I looked for the greddy BCC but I was unlucky at the time and I ended up getting the one you tagged in post #2 from the supra store which is what I'm using right now. SOARER93- yea, I have an aem wide-band Gage on there sir!
