Default plastidipped my sc400 sapphire!

Paint was horrible, went the cheap route instead of paint. Im satisfied for now.

Flex blue - 3 Gallons
Sapphire Pearl Blue - 3 bags (mixed with 1 gal. clear and 1 gal. matte clear)

laid about 10-11 coats.

and my incomplete interior for good measure

Nice! How much do you think it cost you going this route, with all those gallons?

That includes what you paid the other person for the work, right? If so, what was the materials cost?

I've been quoted as high as $3500 for a full repaint but can probably have another guy do it for sub-$2k. $555 ain't too bad, although it probably doesn't include all the prep and body work that went into my quote.

I love that purple hue on top of the blue. Was going to do more pearl in mine as well but decided to stay as it is. My paint was originally that old-man gold with clear coat fading in a lot of places. Figure I'd play with the plasti-dip a bit.

Was gunmetal+pearl for a year. Then went with white+pearl.

Couple questions? is plasidip more forgiving while applicating to novice painters as apposed to a normal spray job? Do the kits come with a spray gun? Are there any long term effects to the original paint? Im pretty confident I could do it just nervous as my paint is in good shape I just would like a change of scenery.

Yours looks amazing. Most plasti dips look very flat and you can tell once you look at it what it is. Especially the flat black people keep doing. How much did you pay for the white plasti dipped? Seems like a great alternative to the $5-6K quote I got on body work and paint. I could just do the body work and get it dipped afterwards.
