KEEP IT!
You will never get as much joy out of the money you get for it as you can by keeping it. Put it in storage and save up for a simple, cheaper W58 manual swap. There is nothing like a clutch pedal on that V8 to restore your interest in driving it!
You might even sell the wheels and have lots of the money necessary for the swap. Paint it yourself and leave the interior alone for a while!
Keep it and swap it man!

lol sorry guys , its been sold
couple university mechanic/apprentices came by and made an offer , I kept the black wheels , they have it stored on blocks now, they are going to 5 speed it and supercharge or turbo it.
it was sad to see them driving it away , but I think in the long run its for the best, it needed too much little stuff .
I think ive decided that I want a Toyota soarer 2.5gt 5 speed, and I want to go widebody with it .
So hopefully you guys will see me back .
Thanks a lot for the input , miss you guys here

thanks buddy
lol yea I cant either ,,,the Sc was GREAT to me and it got me into the car scene.
I even slept in that car for over a month lol
Overall though , with all things considered it was for the best .
It needed a full tune up, bushings all around , possibly control arms , sunroof didn't work, radio didn't work , interior needed to be re-done, needed paint, little body work , and im sure a few more things.
I still think it sold for way too low but oh well, I paid $2400 for it , drove it for 5 years and got my money back , cant complain about that.

i think your going to have fun with a c5, throw a cam on there and there a beast, i use to own one. one of the funniest cars i've had.
i was in the same boat as you but i have a 99 sc300 black on black but the problem is that it has 285k miles on the stock motor.
I just picked up a 2014 Gt mustang 5.0 2 weeks ago and a 05 ls430 last oct. i was set on selling the sc300 yesterday but the battery died on me lol probably a sign.

hey guys just wanted to let you know that I checked out a C5 last night , it was a 2001 silver 6 speed with headers and a few light mods.
I want to let you know the the build quality of the SC's, even the early models from 91 and 92 FAR exceeds the quality of the C5's.
They have rough idle, noisy trannys, plastic interior, poor weatherstripping and just sub par engineering in general.
What they do have is raw power and sex appeal, but I have to say its a shame , in the end I didn't buy it due to a rough idle and a noisy gearbox, which half of the corvette guys say is normal and the other half say it is not.
Going from lexus to chevy is a huge step down in a lot of respects, really made me appreciate my LS so much more.
