Default Upgrade Tires/Rims or Shocks??

Hey Guys,
In your opinion what produces the most handling gains in performance. Changing the stock tire and rims to big lower profiles or changing out shocks and springs. I plan to do both but I can not decide first where to spend my money first. Should this upgrade be done in any particular order?
Thanks

Handling improves the most to the least in this order in my opinion.

Eibach Springs (or any stiffer springs)
Sway Bars
18" Wheels
17" wheels
Harder Bushings
Strut Bars

Thanks for the insight. From what I can tell from searching on the subject, that if cost were not a factor that most people would choose the coilover (tein cs seems to be the flavor) over the Eibach Springs and Tokico shocks. Is there a performance reason for this or just the adjustablity what is you opinion?

SCSC4,

That is a good question. Teins are nice. They offer adjustable ride height and ride quality. Overall the CS system rides the best of all their combinations. However, Teins are not the only system out there. Several other vendors build a system as good if not better than Tein. JIC, and HKS have been reviewed here as excellent alternatives to the Teins. For the most part, I think Eibach/Tokico is an excellent choice for 75% of all enthusiast.

And the Eibach/Kokico set up is what, nearly a grand cheaper. If anyone has gone from the Eibach/Kokico set up to the coilover, it would be interesting to hear their opinions on the difference.

I agree with the order, but I think to get the full benefit in improving performance, you should also get the new matching shocks. Well, your stock shocks won't last with the new stiffer/shorter springs anyway.

Thx
