Ok so my lexus O/D light blinks? On top of that the car has a very slow take off. The RPMS goes up to about a 3 and stays at 40 if i go any faster it goes all the way around like to the 5. I can not tell if it changes gears or not because the engine does not sound like it rev. Also when i stop or sit in park at times the car shakes a little like you think its about to cut off.. Need a new transmission and tune up? or could trans make the car act this way?

...then have it rebuilt or replaced. (Pro tip...don't buy it from the dealer)

I remember reading a thread either here or supraforums about the cause of the OD light blinking but I don't remember what it was. Sounds like its not shifting at all and stuck in a gear. trying another ECU is simple enough but in the meantime, search here and supraforums and see what you can dig up.

O/D light blinking means there's a problem with one or more of the solenoids in the transmission, there's 4 total. You can buy a set somewhere in the internet universe for like $350 or something last time I checked. While you're at it, you can change the transmission fluid strainer and flush the oil.
