Can you define marvelous? I have KYB GR2 shocks on mine right now with stock springs, I am looking for a stiffer ride quality.

On a side note my wheel setup is similar to yours, 18x9.5 / 8.5 with 5mm spacers all around. I only rub on rough hits like pot holes

Thicker sidewall means less wheel gap.

Hmm interesting my Espelirs never sat like that. I think there is a thread somewhere about rears being or looking lower then the fronts.

Not mine, my harness was just fine and didn't experience any rubbing at all.

Do you have any pictures of the car now?

Maybe even a before - after drop photo?

I just can't have my car lowered too much due to the fact my wheels are so wide, and large that they will rub!

Thanks!

I say the two options for the best drop when on a budget: MKIV struts and Eibach/Tanabe springs or Esplier springs. I have the Esplier springs and love it. I would also do the harness mod. You will thank me later. One big bump and you will be changing out fuses or calling a wrecker to get you home. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

By the way that's a gorgeous car. I see nothing wrong with the pinstripe, it's unique. It could stand a drop but if you have to roll the fenders than that'll be too low, in my opinion.

you can also get the CXracing coilovers for about 630 dollars if you save jus a tad bit more money. but you will prolly have to get your fenders rolled. ill be getting a similar set up but with a very slight stretch on the wheels.

Here is the link with a picture. The front settled about another .5"-.75". The marvelous ride comes from the new shocks i put on for the front as well. It stays flat and is stiffer than stock for sure. It's a nice way to lower it and not spend beaucoup money. I honestly would like the front to go down another inch or so though...
