Having issues with my driver seat in my 1998 lexus sc400. Everytime It appears after my car has been off for awhile my driver seat will recline all the way back. All the functions work on the seat panel except the recline button. Sometimes it will let me put the seat back up but sometimes it wont. I can move seat forward and back with no problems elavate up and down with no problems just the retract button is not working. Once I get it up it is fine, uuntil the car is turn off. I dont know how long it takes or when it starts to retract. Any ideas??

Issue just started yesterday, did get alittle snow in that area but can think of aanything else.

 

Sounds like your switch for the tilt is stuck or on its way out. Try pulling the button a little off the base just in case it is sticking. You may have to replace the switch or try cleaning the contacts.
