Default its -10F outside, heater issues!

hey guys,

yeah its cold out, and im having weird heater problems. I don't really know what to look at first.
Basicaly the heater in the car works, and works great. But its only around town and when the car is pretty level. But when i go up hills and take the freeway up into the mountains the heater pretty much goes ice cold till i get to the top or am going downhill, then it will start to heat up. I don't get it....

you have air in the system. how is your coolant level? low coolant is usually the first thing that makes the heater stop working. start by adding coolant / bleeding the system.

I second this motion. Then check the heater valve by the firewall for cracked vacuum lines.
