Finally got the seat covers in. Not perfect by any definition, but a huge improvement. The color was not what was requested, but she decided to roll with it. The picture looks tan, but it's a light grey. It's a lot work, but she's a good kid, so I'm happy to do it. The new heaters work great too. I'll post up more pics when it's all done.
Good seat !
My question, what is the reference paint of jambs ?
The part you circled is called the "B Pillar". The door jambs are the areas between the interior and exterior of the car which are still the old color.
That interior looks soo fresh now! Could you PM me details on where you got your seat covers from and price tag?
Thanks,
-Lokz
I got them on ebay from seller "exotikleather" for $375 shipped. The material is definitely not as nice as OEM, but I think a good value for the price. Be prepared for a month of waiting after you order. It says US seller, but they shipped from Pakistan! You will also need about 300 small hog rings and hog ring pliers. It is a lot of work. I'm sure it's easier if you don't have arthritic hands, but there is a lot of pinching and tugging involved. I have never done this type of work before and I'm satisfied but not thrilled with the outcome. There are some wrinkles. For the center console, you'll also need some headliner adhesive spray. For the driver seat, you need to raise it all the way up or you won't be able to remove the bottom cushion, so do that before you remove the seat from it's power source.
I also installed seat heaters while everything was apart. They were only about $70 for four pads and the wiring. I live in southern AZ and they are not needed, but they feel great on sore backs and buts!
