Difference between 97+ and pre 97 headlights?

Default Difference between 97+ and pre 97 headlights?

I've tried googling and looking at the pictures, but I can't seem to find a discernible difference .
Anyone care to explain?

The high beams are made of glass from 97-00 but the main headlights are less obvious. There supposedly ARE differences related to how the halogen lenses achieve focus and cutoff compared to the 92-96 design but both versions are made of plastic and look very similar.

Members highly versed in HID retrofit swaps should be able to answer this one since those conversions should magnify in the internal lens design any superior characteristics in the 97+ versions and limitations in the 92-96 versions.

Actually, glass high beams were used from model year 1995 and up.
