Small Leak
Guys,
I have a small leak at the bolt on top of the thermostat housing. See Pic. Seems like a straight forward fix, that being tighten or unscrew and put some gasket sealer on it before re installing. Never dealt with this item before so is there anything special here?Attachment 305653

Did you recently replace your engine thermostat?
How tight did you tighten the gasket?
I hate suggesting this if you did, because you'll need to drain the radiator fluid, but if you did recently replace the thermostat you may have cracked the housing if you over-tightened. I'd inspect the housing for any cracks and if you can't see any, take it off and see if you can find any cracks.
It's possible you could fix it with gasket sealer if it is indeed a crack in the housing, but I'd recommend just buying a new thermostat housing if it is cracked.

Yes,
I did recently replace the thermostat. I may have over tightened it. Don't know for sure. I am in agreement that I will probably just replace the housing. Wait, EKnine9 take a closer look. The outside housing (black plastic) is not leaking it is coming from the top of the back side of the housing.
