Default Installing cup holder fixed my gear shift lights!

I am one happy camper. I installed the little cupholder to the right of my radio on my SC400 (very easy to do, by the way- and totally worth the $30 for this mod). When I removed the center console parts to get to the cup holder, I found that the cables that run the power to the lights on the gear shift selector, as well as the ECT/Power button were disconnected. I plugged them in, and now they all light up and work properly. I've only had my SC for about a week, and it has been bothering me that the power button didn't work, and there weren't any lights on the gear selector. Now, not only does everything work, but I've got a cup holder to boot!

the sc's from 92-94 didnt have a cup holder, but had the spacing for it. and yea, its pretty damn weak, it can only hold a small, half empty cup/can. 20oz is a no-no.

It may not hold large drinks, but it sure looks better than having a useless gaping hole to the right of your radio...

Its good for long distance drive to have extra cup holder, beside you don't turn that sharply when driving above 60 mph

I have a bracket made by pro-fit that uses that slot for a cell phone mount. So my Nokia clips into the slot facing the driver at an angle, still has room in the slot for my web browser/pager. This setup allows me to have full handsfree, dialing capability and type on AIM while driving

Bentley I am willing to bet that the previous owner had an aftermarket stereo in there and removed it just prior to sale. They did not bother to hook everything up when it was put back together.
