New and needs advice
Watch out for three things (nothing wrong with the SC but since you are moving from a truck).
1. The vehicle is low and hood is long.
2. If you are tall and position your seat way back, there is no leg room in the rear.
3. 2 dr.
All three are very obvious, but you must test them out for yourself before making the purchase.

I think the SC's seats are pretty inconsiderate to passengers. As much as I like my car I think it's a bad daily because of the poor gas efficiency and the length of the car takes some getting used to. The SC is mainly for enthusiasts now. It's a shame that a lot of SC's are becoming project cars now when it used to be such an expensive luxury coupe, but that build is all up to you to make the car the way you like. The SC definitely feels like a much sportier car from a 4runner.
Ya I totally understand, it's a tough decision cause been looking at smaller cars and I came across the sc and I started researching and there sick cars, I have owned all trucks accept for a tc I turboed and sold. But for the price of the sc is great there amazing cars just a little old.
I guess what we are all trying to say is these are great cars for us. We know the trade offs and understand that there will be some relatively expensive repairs at some point. Great project cars if you have the time and money; just browse through the photo galleries to get a glimpse at what some members have done not to mention all of the engine mods and builds.
However, for the year and mileage of your two choices and the price point you have a rare chance to land a decent daily driver with the limits others above have attempted to share (2Dr, big car, etc.).
If it turns out after owning the car for a while and (which ever one you choose) it doesn't work out you will not have a hard time selling it and recovering your purchase price - these are highly sought after and with the sub 150K mileage for '93s there will be interest.

If your question relates to maint ... it has been a very low maint cost vehicle.
People mover? I would say 2 ppl only as daily mover. Sure in a pinch you can do 4 and 5 if going around a block.
MPG ... 17-21 .. lower side in the city
Problem/strong-point: It is very hard to find an acceptable replacement. You have to pony up more $$$$ or give-up on lux.
Bottom line ... Drive for a week and see (if you can get it on trial basis).

As far as a good daily?
No... can carry 1 passenger comfortably, 2 if whoever is in the back is willing to stretch out.
Better trunk space than expected from a coupe like this.
Bad gas mileage, 16-20.
Long hood, if you aren't careful you can nick the front bumper pretty easily, especially if you are lowered.
Maintenance is great. These cars are mostly bullet proof and there are plenty of members on here well past 275k on stock motor, tranny, and drivetrain. Big things are to make sure timing belt is done, eventually control arms and bushings, and to make sure cooling system gets a refresh around 150k (new engine thermostat, drain and fill fluid, new hoses, new engine fan and fan clutch, and be sure to flush the radiator). Other than that this car is a breeze and parts are relatively cheap compared to other similar luxury cars. I came to this from a 2000 BMW 5 series, and it's amazing how much less money I spend fixing this car than a BMW that is 8 years newer.
You can always replace rims, a garage kept car with all paperwork is a big plus though.

Post pics of both cars you were considering if you have them.... What part of CA are you in?
