Default 1992 Sc400 confusing problem!

Hi, so my AC, heat, defroster and all all work, BUT here's the catch. They only work in park? If I even press the button down to shift out of park the climate control display will go dim, showing nothing at all. Its really strange actually. I could take a video if needed. Am I the only one having this problem in the world?

Apparently, you're not the only one...http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...1121505AAoc6Oj

I'd suspect some "wiring fault" as above mentioned. I have never heard of this problem before...

I say check the wiring in the center console area and under the shifter itself. If all good, then pull the radio and troubleshoot.

My 95 SC400 started doing that also,so I took off the shift/radio/cup holder console and disconnected the wiring then cleaned the male /female plugs with q-tip with alcohol because there was a little corrosion. Did that for my heated seats buttons also because they were sticking, thus my seats wouldn't heat up. I fixed both problems in about an hour..once I figured out how to put the console back lol

Changing out #10 15amp fuse in the kick panel fixed the problem.

Prior to posting I had already changed the 7.5amp #11 fuse and was stumped. Working fine now.
