Welcome to the club, nice SC...the color will definitely grow on you, give it time? There's a lot of good information here, check out the sticky at the top of the page. Also browse some of the build threads for inspiration, etc. GL and keep us posted.
The most commonly "passed on" application is putting it in the oil. I have not done it but the guys who dont trust it, dont trust it MOST in the oil, therefore I would hesitate to INCREASE the amount in the crank case. The can says 1/3rd crank, 1/3rd tank, 1/3rd booster i'd try that.
Better yet, arm yourself well by doing a seafoam search on this site and READ IT ALL. There are a few great threads.
Seafoam is harmful to the seals as it is very abrasive. If you use it consistently in the oil it will cause damage. If you use it once to remove most of the buildup you should be perfectly okay with 3/4 a can in the crank case. However, I will advise to use a restorer afterwards and for the following few oil changes, along with FULL synthetic oil to truly reap the rewards.
I do agree, as I stated before, that with consistent use or more than once in a short period time it should not be trusted.
The other problem that may exist after using Seafoam is the clogging of the catalytic converters, especially if build up is horrendous. Therefore, OP, if you are not used to it I would agree with Studiogeek and advise you to read the threads to learn some more about the product.
