So today i pretty much couldnt do nothing since all the part stores here dont have the specialty tool to open the crankshaft pulley yaay fun! . I was in a pickle till my friend told me about these construction guys who rent out compressor and impacts. Monday i shall be able to do my timing belt water pump and cam seals no problem.

So today out of frustration i cleaned my engine bay and called it the day. Before that i put new motor mounts and pulled out all the things out of the 1JZ ( A/C compressor, PS pump, Alternator) did a little bit of cleaning.

Questions:
I believe i broke this line while i was pulling the motor. So today i tried to break it loose using flare wrenches using a 14MM and a 19MM and twisting in opposite direction, i broke it loose but when i go ahead and loosen it more it became super tight, soo tight that when i try to twist it with all the energy it started to bend the line. Am i doing something wrong here?

Here are some pictures of more progress

Some progress is better than none. Try and upload some better pictures when you can. Those look like they were taking with a bag phone. LOL

How did you break the line??? Did you try some PB Blaster or WD40?

Dont be in such a hurry. Always double check everything. I learned the hard way on doing my swap. I couldn't have done it without the help of fellow swap members.

We look forward to a nice video of the start up!

I am trying to wrap it up in the spring break thats about 1 week from now. But this time i will be more careful. I mean even if i dont have the harness hooked up, i just want the engine and tranny in the car by then. This is my first swap so i will try to make it a decent one. I agree, people on CL have been very helpful to me. I appreciate everyone's help. Thanks!

So today i tried to go back and forth with that fuel feed line nuts, sprayed 1 gallon of WD-40 still no use . I guess i'll go ahead with everything else and push it to a shop to fix that problem or take it to my university and fix it there.

Work done today
-> New cam seals replaced them 2 times cus i messed it up the first time around lol . $40 mistake so now im using 95 V6 camry cam seals. Opened cam gears using creativity lol
-> Put spark plugs
-> Put valve covers and torqued everything to 74 inch pounds.
-> coil packs back on.
-> Cam gears back on torqued to 59 foot pounds with thread locker.
Called it the day cus i dont like to work when its raining and cold wind is in your face all the time lol
Tomorrow i shall have the mobile compressor and impact so i will be able to do timing belt and everything else on the motor.

No pictures today because i forgot to charge my calculator (iphone)
Questions:
My motor came with all the coil pack connecters having a broken lock, so it doesn't lock it just slides into the coil pack connectors. Anyone know where can i get new connectors so i can swap them out?

I have the whole 2JZ motor set im wanting to get rid off, just havent put it up yet because i'm waiting to finish the whole swap and then i'll put it up. I'm sure 2JZ is a great motor to boost but everyone has their own preference. I like the 1JZ over the 2JZ,
P.S not saying 1JZ is better than 2JZ before the whole world gets ready to pound me

lol.... i get you. The reason i say is because the 2j is already there, but that is the great thing about this game, many routes to choose. good luck. BTW when you choose to start selling 2jz parts let me know. I would be interested in the engine harnesss if it is in tact

Well guys i have bad news and good news.
Bad news
Competition light weight flywheel is out of stock from competition so they said it will take 3 weeks. I told them to cancel the order and i went ahead bought ultra light weight flywheel from ebay. I hope everything arrives by friday and i can finish it up and have the motor in by saturday or so

Good news:
I got my radiator back flushed and flow tested.
Me and 3 of my friends managed to open the crank bolt with a little creativity. I spent over $100 on specialty tools but managed to open it before the tools even arrived, i cant help it i just figure how to get her donne by hook or by croook
New front main seal

Questions:
I have these two open wires in my harness can anyone tell me what they are all about and what to do with them? Two pictures added of each one is close up and other is from far away so you guys can see where its coming from.

Sorry guys i havent updated this thread.
I used a competition clutch and light weight flywheel on it, i figured everything out with spending a lot of time on the internet, just did not have the courage to update it with every step because i was really into getting her done.
Today was my actual first start up.
I dont have any pictures yet, but my friend uploaded a video on facebook so i would like to share.

Pictures will be coming soon.
