This happens to me all the time and I thought it was because the ebrake was too loose. Great post

I spent more than half the day to get this stupid hub out. The wheel came off easy, but before we did that we made a slight find. We found the right rear wheel had about 1 inch of play or more in all directions.

I knew then it was the wheel bearing. The other side was pretty tight and alot better. The worst part of the job was trying to remove all the arms from away the entire hub. I just finished a few minutes ago and took it for a drive. The steering wheel is way off now, but there is still a slight rub. I think this is where the pad actually grooved the rotor from the bearing being bad. I will monitor this rotor, and if it gets this worse, I will remove all and have it turned or this would be the prime time to pick up a good set of TT calipers, rotors, and pads. LOL..... I couldn't get in the car, cause it is raining pretty good here and its below freezing. I will let the car set for a few more days and then go for a hard drive.

The other good thing about today is that I removed the MKIII center bearing from my driveshaft and replaced it with one from a TT supra. It was a perfect match and now I have no more clunking under the shifter housing area.

Oh yeah, I also checked all the bolts and rubber gaskets on the rear end, and they all appeared in great shape still. I went to the junk yard today and found a SC400 with a front lip off of a 1993. It has a slight crack in it, but I think it is worth repairing and repainting it. These are getting harder to find nowadays. I also am thinking of grabbing the entire rear end from this car just as a spare. :-)
