Default Another injector resistor thread!!!

So ive been searching for hours now. and i can't find a step by step process to do this. i don't need some colored crappy wiring diagrams. i need some actuall pics and step by step to wire in a resistor on a 1jz to use the usdm 550cc's.

this is the closest to step by step i found, and thats not really all there.

http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...tor-pack/page3

also i have a 7mge injec resistor with the pigtail. but i hear i can use a mid 90's acura legend also???

use the 7m batch fire one first of all since you are 1jz and on batch fire also (dont ask why).

There are 4 wires on the resistor.
One is a 12V input. This wire is the 12V going to all your injectors right now (Im assuming the 1jz is high impedance stock and batch fire). you wire up one of the power wires to this input wire (some combine all 6 into 1 a little overkill), or you can follow the wires back into the harness enough to find the splice (where it goes from 1 big wire to 6 wires), and wire from before the splice where the 1 wire is (most technically correct).

The other 3 wires are your 12V outputs to the injectors (post resistor).
Each one of these wires will go to 2 injectors. which 2 injectors you ask??

batch fire on 1jz is (inj 1&4), (inj 3&5) and (inj 2&6) which are fired together.
so as said in the other thread, 1-4 to Yellow wire, 2-6 to Black wire, and 3-5 to Red wire.
On the above, I doubt the 3 colors even matter, they just represent the 3 resistors in the resistor pack (all the same resistance). Whats important is you connect the right injectors together, so when they are fired together, the current for both of them goes through the same resistor, because the 7M resistor pack has different values for resistance than an injector pack with 6 channels (like 2jz or acura) that are designed to be fired individually. Can you make a 6 resistor pack work on batch fire, yes its possible, but if you wan;t the least chance of frying your drivers you should use the 7M batch fire one (as long as you are using a 1jz batch fire ecu).

The signal wires from the ecu you leave the same as stock.

its 4 wires, you're going to have to go out and just install them, I don't have any pics I always try and avoid using resistor packs myself by getting high impedance injectors.
