Negative...head room is non existent. im 6'4 and my height seems to be the limit...I will say though, if you plan to drop 10k on modding your roof make it a vert

I guarantee that if you were to actually go for it and really do this or your fender idea the same people bashing on it now would think its awesome when its done. you say your car is an extension of your personality and style yet you come on here asking for other peoples opinions on whether you should do something. sounds more like your car will be an extension of other peoples personality rather than your own.
What are the right reasons?
What if I said, I want a 200mph car w/ exceptional stability (which is also true)?

I think you're taking what I said to another level (although I now you're not bashing), but think of it more simply; you've never asked anyone, while shopping for clothes:
"Hmm, how do you think this looks?"
Thats all Im doing. Im not configuring my car to other peoples tastes, Im just feeling the vibes, the same way I ask someone "How do you think this shirt will go, with these pants?"
Either way, in the end, the styles my own, 'cus I chose the final design.

No offense taken or anything; Im just sayin' ...

I believe they're referring to something like this when they speak of a vert SC.

yes, sorry. I somehow missed the post I repeated. But yeah, I never looked into chop tops due to my height and obsession with coupes.

If id ever mess with my top it would be to do a Targa-top, not everyone likes it but it would look pretty nice in my opinion.

All you guys that suffer from headroom need to go seat shopping. I am 6' tall and when I first installed my Recaros on the wedge engineering brackets I could barely see over the hood. LOL I actually had to put 1.25" of spacers under them to lift them up some. I have plenty of headroom now, when I had stock seats that was another thing.

On with the question of chopping the top, It could be cool but my experience tells me the car will never be the same after the hack job. Been in the scene for 30 years and have yet to see one done that is OEM quality. They look good but little things suck. i.e. side glass fitment, perfect body lines, window fitment, interior fitment. In the end its your car cut it up, seems like you are dieing to chop it up, hatchbacks, chopped tops, fender holes, crazy ugly square widebodys. Note to self What does CityKnight want for his Bday? A sawzall! LOL

Just do it and get it out of your system. LOL

Sorry I'm done now
