I have no choice, I need a car for school, and I've been shopping for about a year anyways, my patience is up haha. But anyways, I have talked to the guy a couple times, extremely unprofessional person, which you can tell in the ad alone. The car got broken into the other day, stolen ecu and head unit. He still wants the 10g's no matter what.
Now onto the "w58 being sketchy" is it really? I mean I obviously know you can't go over 500 hp with the w58, but soooooo many people I see on here are still using there w58 under 500 horses...

even with a stage 3 clutch? I came from an is300, so I know how much people go straight to a r154 which was so surprising to me how many sc300's on here who are boosted stick with the w58, and how many are for sale with it.

How does this car sound for about 9g's?
-2jz-GE stock pistons and rods, rebuilt blue printed and balanced, new OEM pistons, Chrome Rings
-Rebuilt stock heads, stock cams
-New timing belt, water pump, tensioner, idler, cam seals, front main, rear main
-TT head gasket, ARP head studs, ARP flywheel bolts, new flywheel
-AEM Series 2 EMS, power switch (456 whp) boost control solenoid, IATA and MAP sensor, AEM wideband gauge
-supra TT coils and igniter, DENSO IK22 spark plugs
-stage 3 clutch with w58 trans, sc300 rear end, stock driveshaft
-low temp thermostat
-synthetic 10w30 oil
-550cc injectors, flow tested and balanced, single walbro 255 fuel pump
-NA-T turbo kit: driftmotion stainless manifold, T67 turbo, 3" stainless downpipe, stainless feed and return lines, 4" GReddy exhaust (sounds exotic)
-4" thick front mount inter cooler with 6061 TIG welded piping, 50mm blow off valve, silicone couplers and t-bolts
-AEM dry flow filter and 3" intake
-eBay racing seats
-LS400 front big brake kit, stock supra non-turbo rear brakes
-Tein SS coilovers all around
-Carbon fiber hood with hood pins and trunk (needs refinishing
-CCW 18" rims staggered 11.5" in back 9" in front $3000 rims
Engine has 13k after rebuild and entire turbo build was brand new at 13k, tranny has 30k miles and 13k on the stage 3 clutch and was looked at professionally to make sure everything was perfect 13k ago during the turbo setup, and chassis has 110k but coils only have around 40k.
Cosmetically I will need to repaint trunk/hood, I will just vinyl it, and rear seats have a big rip, will need to replace, that is all cosmetically.

I wouldnt push past 350 on my w58. As long as you dont launch, powershift and keep out of boost in 5th gear. Tires and grip will play a roll too. But as a street trans, it works for me with 20k+ since turbo.

I would pass on this also. 10K is kind a high.. Check out my thread titled Jays, SC300 interior build thread. I am redying every piece of it black except for the console cover. I also done mine this way in my build thread in my signature. SEM paint is the bomb.. PERIOD !!!! Good luck on your decision.

If you have 10K I would suggest haggling with this guy http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/3567636568.html

haha, that is 1slowsc's car, who has posted on this thread even, and has his car up for sale on here. We are talking no doubt, it's just he doesn't have AC and I need AC. Also the mileage without being rebuilt is a bit high but AC is the only real problem in my mind. He is getting it checked out tomorrow and we might have a deal after that. I'm just keeping my options open in the mean time if it doesn't work out.
Also he has a w58 which is another person that I was thinking about when asking the question how so many people are still using this tranny if it is so "sketchy". I understand of course not to launch, power shift and boost in fifth and such, If that is all I have to avoid, then it will be no problem, I am buying this car for a DD with a little power when I want it

Sounds pretty sweet, I'm just not sure if I would spend that much for what it is. For sure its a great car, but its really up to you if you like it enough to spend that much. I was fortunate enough to get a black on black SC, so I never worry about interior stuff.

Ok well this is a different car,

and it is only around 9g's the only thing I will need is to repaint the hood/trunk and a new rear seat. Eng have 13k, tran has 30k and chassis has 100k. Suspenison has 30k as well. Once again, w58 but it is my DD and it has a power switch where without the switch on it is only at about 4psi, around 300 hp. WIth the switch, 456rwhp... FSR built the tranny and the engine. They claim the tranny will be perfectly fine under 456 horses as long as I dont power shift and launch like stated before, and it is my DD so I don't need to worry about it.
