The tensioner belt pulley is not expensive at all. It cost's as low as $15.00...shouldn't be to bad to replace either. Easy in...easy out
I just mean in general, not the repair price... My other money pit is a 89 sec 560. Between the two needing crap done turbo is looking further and further away
Minor update...after a few treatments of wd40 penetrating the areas that should spin and then cleaning the area after last week the pulley spins as of today when I started it?could it be time for a tensioner pulley, or could all the noise be from the fact that its been below freezing for the last month and a half here?

Question...I was shopping and noticed that the pulley itself is roughly 15, but there is also an option of buying the full assembly for about 120. When these things go out and start making noise is it typically the fully itself or something in the assembly
Most of the time it is the pulley bearings themselves. Anything else that makes any noise in the assembly should be corrected with WD-40 or liquid Wrench I would think...
yeah if you managed to free it up just keep it well lubricated and hope for the best.
you would have to take it apart to replace the pulley, at that point it may just be the same to take it apart and clean the original one especially if it spins again without making noise. if it makes bad noises from that pulley specifically then a new pulley is in order
