Wether they flow on the SC or not, I dont find step lips to be VIP which is what the OP is trying to achieve

 

^^ you are right, but neither is his wheels selection. not bashing, they are both great wheels.

 

Equips with or without are not VIP lol. And wheels that flow with the car makes more sence anyway. An SC is not a VIP car and never will be.

 

The VS-XX's get my vote unless you're talking about the old school Equips. Step lip looks great too.

Wether you agree or not makes no difference. The equips with a flat lip will be closest to the look he is going for. Btw I agree with you that equips aren't VIP wheels, save the oldschools.

 

Point is he has one of the nicest Sc;s on the forum, looks like you dont even own one.

 

You don't have to own an SC to have an opinion on what wheels look best on them.


I just purchased a 97sc300 and it has some Enkei rp03 (I think that's what they are) but I also have a set of work equips on my MKIII. I'm going to take them off next week and put them on one side and see what they look like. I love the enkei's, but I also love my equips. I'd like to see a few pictues of the work equips on an sc.

Thanks everyone for the input but yeah I know there not a official VIP wheel I was looking at luxury abstract and VIP modular but after seeing how much they would be with the specs and ideas I want to do its a little too much money right now ha but i think the equips might be the choice

 

Have VR Wheels build you a set of Equips like mine are. Also reverse lip doesn't make a car more "VIP" than stepped lip. Both style lips are very popular on VIP style cars and neither is more VIP than the other. Mine are 18x10/ 18x11. And I never bashed the OPs ideas in any way. We try and help each other out in the SC section. Nothing I said was negative.

They are classic wheels and I'd personally get both
Get sets of reverse lip and step lipped inner and outher barrels and interchange em till your heart desires.
Then when you get bored, sandwich mount the VS-XXs
Just dont mount the inner barrel where the out outer lip is suppose to cause thats just fugly IMO
