Default 92-01 tails??

http://www.tunerbits.com/92-01-Lexus...Red-Clear.html

Are these legit? I have a 99.
I know that the bumpers are different on the 92-96 model compared to 97+, but I much rather have these tails then any other ricer looking 97+.

If not, any suggestions on tails for a black sc? Cant afford OEM tails...broke college kid, and just dished out 1600 on body work and a paint job. Going to grab the black HID halo's from xtralight.com so im trying to go all black here.

Do you have any pics?

You should keep your car clean and get OEM lights man. If you're lucky to have a 99 you should keep it as clean as it was. Why not go 97+ everything? I'm not expecting you to buy everything new from Toyota, but you can just look in the classifieds and you might come up on a deal. What happened to your stock taillights? They usually run for about $250 on average. Some people like the 95 taillights most though, but nobody likes the 92 taillights. Any mods done on a set of 92 taillights is just making with what they have IMO.

Keep it OEM. Tails are different from 92-94, 95-96 and 97-00 in terms of the shell and the # of bulbs as well as the ecu or control module. The 97-00 are kinda expensive, they run anywhere between $200-$350 depending on your luck.

When I bought the car it had those awful chrome altezza tails lol. HATE them lol I did black them out though. I want to, and would, get the OEM's if I had the cash and could find a good deal. Still keeping an eye out. Just looking for something better looking to hold me over til then.

Dang sorry guys forgot to post the website lol

IMO you should keep your SC stock. Replacing random stuff (like made in china taillights), will eventually make your car looking like the uni-bomber and very undesirable. I'd keep OEM and wait on the "SC spirit pay it forward" thread here on CL. A thread of free stuff. When there are tails posted up ****** them.

Ignore the SC snobs. It's not some super collectable rare car - use the parts you want to use. It's not like it's a permanent modification anyway.

There - that ought to get a few of them boiling. There was no way I was going to pay a fortune for lights for a car I bought for $800. Just not going to do it. Note that those awful faded OEM gold emblems are now painted silver with a new SC400 badge where it belongs.

What you don't want is aftermarket headlights. The projectors suck and they use a smaller bulb than stock meaning even less light hits the ground. I guess it all depends on whether you want to see or be seen.

If I were you I would drive my car in shame until I got money for 97 taillights. I got mine from another member on here for $220 shipped. That really isn't that bad, but I've seen them go as low as $160. I think you should definitely get a set if its about $200.
