Hi guys,
Coming back to the SC after owing a number of them years back. I am currently purchasing a 2000 White SC300 one owner car from South Carolina. If you can, please help me out:

1-I would like to replace the stock chrome wheels with IS300 17" wheels. Will these fit without spacers or do I need to purchase them?

2-i want to use the hidden antenna to avoid having to have the 7 ft antenna up all the time. Has anyone used this and do they work?

3-I will be looking for a double DIN unit to replace the stock stereo. I know Metra makes the mounting kit. How about the face plate? Does anyone make a face plate or do I have to fabricate one?

Get the 2k sc first. They are very rare and hard to find, and you'll be lucky to get one, then you can plan those mods depending if the maintenance has been done.

Deal is done. car will be on the carrier next week. All maint. done by Lexus dealer from day 1. I am a lucky guy.

Will do. It appears awesome. One owner, all service records, clean car fax. I chatted with the service dept at the Lexus dealer that did all the service and her response was: buy it!

I'm sure the stock wheels will fit without any problems.

For the antenna I disabled the motor for it in the trunk, just go into the trunk and pull where that liner is. Then there's a harness near that antenna, just unplug it and it should stay down.

thanks. I am going to buy a hidden antenna first thing. Then, I will look for a new Double Din with bluetooth and XM radio. I also plant to swap out the steering wheel for perhaps a RX300 wheel.

This should be fun.

As for those mods, they're simple. Wheels will fit, use a tune trapper hidden antenna and face plates? What do you mean by face plate?

I assure you these topics have been covered MANY times. Look for em and you'll find a few threads about the antenna and wheels... what can I say? Its in the stickies.

Thanks. The face plate reference is to the Double Din stereo. I had assumed the existing face plate had to come off and be replaced by something else. I will do a search here to see what I can find.
