ha good stuff man, just need some turbo goodies and you're set. Not even that much stuff at this point. Did you happen to run a compression test before pulling it apart?

Engine is in.
Got the wiring done for it to crank.
Used the fuse box to the ignition switch method because the other method didnt work for my car.
Need to do the reverse light wiring any help on that would be appreciated.

Hit a couple snags

CEL doesn't come on when the car is in the on position so it hasn't fired up yet.
I checked all the fuses and got stuck form there.

The front half of the driveshaft I bought on craigslist isn't long enough!
I think the guy lied to me when I bought it.
Auto is on top in the pic

My alternator plug broke! haha

and I can't find where this plug goes to!
I circled it in the picture.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I did the day I bought it. I remember they were all pretty close to each other but forgot the numbers since it was such a while back.
I'll check again once its running.

Looks like an mk3 r154 front half shaft to me, but you said it doesn't fit? Reason why you used the mk3 front shaft is because Of the r154 splines are different then a w58 it is beefer

I thought it was an mk3 front half shaft but now I don't think it is. According to what I had read those should fit perfectly.
The half shaft I got fits the rear end of the gearbox as in the splines are fine its just too short about five inches or so.

Still no luck on the start up.
I'm starting to think it could the the ecu but I don't think those go bad to easily.

It could also be a wiring issue. I mistakenly jumped two wires that went to the auto tranny and maybe that isn't letting it turn on.

I'll try to get some pictures of how much of the yolk is sticking out and see if I figure out that wiring issue.

So apparently the head relay isn't getting any power
I'm not too sure on how to fix that.
I'll keep checking all the wiring to see if I find anything else.

Here is a picture of the yolk and how much it sticks out.
