Hey guys, this may be a stupid question, but I hope you don't mind anyways.

Are the ashtray assemblies interchangeable between the pre-97 and post 97?

I have a 98 with the woodgrain lid but the mechanism is broken and looking to replace it. What I see most are the earlier ones with the black cover. Could I get this assembly and replace it with my lid?

It's the same. I bought my woodgrain ashtray with my gated shifter from a '98.

Yup! I had a 93 and a 97 and both were broken.. I made a frankenastray that is good as new
