my sc300 has a random misfire need help

Hey guys my car has been acting up lately happens a lot until it warms up or when i take off from a light... the car just loses power n makes a backfire noise near the air intake / throtle body i have to play with the gas to get it going im not sure if its a bad sensor or something has anyone ever had this problem..

do you have the means and knowledge to check for proper fuel, spark and compression? id start there and check the plug galley for signs of oil pooling around the spark plugs
