It rained here last couple of days so lastnight me and a friend of mine decided to have some fun with our cars. All was well as we were spinning around and we were done in like 10 to 15 min. As I was driving home, my brake pedals became stiff and I was a little worried. I have to press on it pretty hard for the car to come to a stop. Could the pads be out?
Also, as I parked the car and started it this morning, the car at idle sounded different. It wasn't smooth any more and sounded kind of wavy like a wump wump sound. This kinda got me worried. There are no check lights or anything....
Your brake pads will scream if they are low. (Metal ridge sticks out when pads are almost used up). You might have loosened a caliper by braking hard. ????
Sounds like the engine noise has nothing to do with what you did before. Is the transmission hot? Might be tranny pump, maybe.....anymore noises or thunks that were not there before? Did you service the vehicle recently?
also where you driving thru any standing water while spinning? what im tring to say is is it possible your engine got good and wet? if so could be water down in the sparkplug holes around the boots
I'll check the caliper bolts when I get home as I did brake pretty hard sometimes. There could also be a possibility of the water as it was pretty wet so Ill check the spark plugs as well. Other that one weird noise, there are no other things that sound odd. The vehicle had a full service and tune up last March.
