When I get around to doing the LS brake upgrade it will be with new parts. I don't call replacing my 20 year old parts with 15 year old parts much of an upgrade. Same with used brake rotors - nice and new for me, please, and you can get it all for $3-400 which is nothing compared to most brake kits.

Used calipers are fine if you are sure the pistons are happy. The last thing you want is warped rotors or less braking force due to an old seized caliper.

Luckily I have the wheel thing covered already. My stock LS430 wheels should clear these just fine.

i personally painted mine black than lightly misted silver spray paint ontop(a glittery/sparkly effect) and lightly sanded and got a gunmetal color. looks good on my green SC i think.

Red is pretty typical and I think it needs to be a pretty nice red to pull it off. I plan on getting a set polished :3

Just do a test fit to be sure. Cause my stock IS-F 19s do not clear LS 400 brakes.

The color I picked is absolutely sick as hell.... I spent 6 hours prepping / painting. I bet you'll like it.

Haha, I didn't get to the point of the "some wheels don't fit" part of that thread until I had already bought them... Ran outside whimpering because my luck normally sucks... CHecked clearance and had crap tons of clearance... XXR 527's FTW!!!

My LS400 lines were cut, but i'll definitely be sourcing some.

Guys this car stops like a beast now.... I'm afraid of just punching the pedal down in fear of the car doing a front flip....60-0 has to be like 6 feet

LS brakes are a great upgrade! Plus, they are cheap! I wonder if there is going to be a price hike due to CL members haha

Glad to see you already had wheels that clear. LS brakes are one of the best mods I have done to the car. Stock SC brakes suck!
