I know this happens fairly often... my dad's 93 sc300's auto tilting steering wheel will go only one way and tries to come back down and gets jammed up. is there an easy fix to this or to we need to go through the dealer for a 500 dollar fix up? thanks.

 

I'm not sure about the exact fix, but mine does the same rarely.

There was a post a while back about re-greasing the steering tilt gears. Here is the post -

is that the same as the "telescoping steering wheel"?.......cuz an SC that i was looking at had the same problem, it was stuch way up high
