Crashed my sc300; need some advice
Check out car parts.net
It's a large scrap/auto recycling inventory of all large auto scrap yards in the country. Scrap yards are my largest accounts, I check for sc parts at every call and normally come across some cool stuff.
Good luck

Bird's right, Blak. I restored an old Trans Am through perseverance, and lots of scrapyard visits.
Just throw the time quotient out the window. It took me three months to realize that I'd be looking for parts for a very long time (6 months+). But sourcing the OEM parts through GM would have been faster, and prohibitively expensive.

Honestly might be cheaper to look for a parts car, check craigslist and look for one with damage somewhere other than where the parts you need it are or blown motor and take the parts you need then scrap it for the scrap value to get some money back.
here is two in florida: http://orlando.craigslist.org/ctd/3151387479.html could probably get for 1400
and this one is two http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/ctd/3267737807.html but could probably get the worse of the two for 1000 or so. Just something to think about, might be cheaper than buying a new door and a new bumper etc etc then you could part the car out and sell the spare parts and scrap the rest like i said before. just a second option.

I'll keep the thread posted and post some pics when she's ready. Thanks again for all the feedback.
definitely check the lower and upper control arms, tie rod etc..
If you can still align it to factory specs after you replace all the parts, that would be a good sign.
It looks alright I have seen worse get fixed, good luck.

Got my SC back! Accident happened on a Tuesday night - Rocovery happened on a Tuesday night - two weeks exactly
Spent about $1,200.00 total in parts and labor. The replaced door has a little scratch on it, but I think I can cover that up. Luckily all the parts were black so a paint job isn't crucial right now. My gas gauge got stuck beneath the E
Does that usually happen when these cars sit? When I first bought her the gas gauge was the same way. I thought it was from the 1j swap. I know if I fill her up it will reset the watever you call it in the tank
Overall it has been a good experience. I've read a lot of stories of sc's sitting for lack of ingredients. I did not expect to be driving to work this morning
I went to Manic Tech Racing in Lauderhill Florida. He found the parts car and did all the work. He's also the guy that sold me the car before he did the 1j swap. Right now he's got 2 sc's he's doing NA-T's on; and he also has two IS 300's getting worked on( both 1j swaps by him) This guy is a Supra Head, so you can just imagine his enthusiasm
Thanks again to everyone for all the help and advise
I'll see you on the road
