I have a 93 Sc300 and was looking at a front bumper from a 2000 on craigslist.. Was wondering if $380 was a good price and how hard is it to swap the two bumpers out. Getting car painted next couple days so trying to do asap

 

The price is usually 250-300 for a used bumper. It ez but lots of bolts and clips.

 

ive seen one or two people sell slightly damaged once for 100 each. if you know a shop that can fix up a crack or a deep scrape for a cheep price. you may want to go that route. Its just a piece of plastic, not like you are sacrificing the cars integrity. If the paint matches your car and is in good condition though, i would pay a bit more. getting a decent respray can cost a pretty penny. especially if they have to match your paint because its faded, most noticeable on white cars.

 

$380, that's almost the price for a brand new one. Keep searching or lowball the guy.

And yes, it's a PIA to change the bumpers. Have a few hours dedicated to pulling out your hair. Make sure you have lots of zip ties ready.

 

$250 is the most you should pay for a 97+ bumper.

 

380 is a lot. I sold one for 150 without anything wrong but scrapes on the bottom.

 

I got the bumper and it installed for $350. Its in rough shape I was pretty pissed about how rough it was.. But getting car painted today and wanted a new 97+ bumper asap.

 

Is the whole bottom grill cut out? At least it came with the fogs and upper grill.

 

yeah the guy i bought it from had a turbod 1jz swap so he cut it for the intercooler. I think once its painted it will look really good. This is the car before the bumper and paint. I'll post a before and after picture.

 

You have a good point, if it included the fogs and grill, it might have been worth $300'ish. That bumper is in pretty rough shape.

 

Yea since normally you have to buy the fogs and grill separate.
